St Suplice, Paris

Another visit to St Suplice in Paris.  Each visit is made under different lighting, with different conditions.  It is fascinating.

Let's think of them as pilgrims suddenly discovering the transcending power of love.

I like to think of the following photo as an illustration of how a cathedral might have looked to someone, centuries ago, looking upward before spectacles were available to the common pilgrim.  We always hear that windows were the 'bible of the poor', but could they even see the windows?

Not everybody in the vicinity of St Suplice is consumed by the building's beauty.

Galerie Variétés, Paris

Paris has a number of "galeries", passageways covered overhead with glass roofs.  There are many small shops one can enter from these passageways.  This particular galerie is in the 2e arrondissement which begins at 38 rue Vivienne and ends at 28 galerie Saint-Marc.
