Friday evening descends on Granville Street, Vancouver

These photos were taken on a warm Friday evening, July 5th (7:15 and 10:15) as the city's night life began to emerge in the club district on Granville Street.  Young people were strolling and cruising, hoping to see and to be seen.  Street people, beggars and buskers were taking up their favourite locations, bouncers and hostesses were at their positions, and tourists were gawking.

Granville (and its adjoining streets) has joined the list of favourite promenades for tourists, people young and old.  The colourful lights enliven the area nicely.  Some store fronts had activity, some awaited customers, and others were closed for the evening.

A Warm Summer Evening on Granville Street, Vancouver

On July 26, Jesse and I took a late evening stroll on Vancouver's downtown Granville Street.  It was the first warm evening of our late summer.  People were in cafés and just strolling for enjoyment.
