January buds and droplets

It is a gloomy day, but beauty can be found even so.

Vancouver's Winter Market (Nat Bailey Stadium)

We recently began supporting Vancouver's Farmers' Winter Market which is open Saturdays, 10:00-2:00 during professional baseball's off-season.  This particular Saturday was a bit wet but the rain held off for us.  Some of the produce was excellent, as were local cheeses, fish, meats from the Fraser Valley, breads, and there were lots of well-behaved dogs getting their morning strolls. 

A Cold Winter Sunset near Stryker, Ohio

While visiting the Hyrthal and Anna Aeschliman descendants at Doug and Betty's home, I noticed a beautiful sunset developing in the crisp cold air.  We dashed outside with our pocket cameras for a quick shot and then returned for warmth and still more food and conversation.

Frosted Leaves, January 3rd

This is possibly our last rain-free day for a week, so it is time to enjoy some frosted leaves.
