A Warm Summer Evening on Granville Street, Vancouver

On July 26, Jesse and I took a late evening stroll on Vancouver's downtown Granville Street.  It was the first warm evening of our late summer.  People were in cafés and just strolling for enjoyment.

The hollyhocks are stretching higher and higher, offering blossoms from now (July 25th) until well into the fall.  I think some of Janice's plants will soon be 8 feet tall.

One lazy June afternoon, I took a stroll for several hours, just wandering wherever it seemed to be interesting.  The variety of street scenes was both amazing and somewhat predictable.  I particularly enjoyed the creative graffiti, the plethora of cafés, and observing friends enjoying being together during the fleeting moments of their busy day. 

Tayberries in the early morning, July 5th

Summer is finally poised to descend on the west coast, later than ever.  The cooler temperatures have preserved flowers nicely.  The new tayberry bush is fruiting nicely this year.
