April 24th is very cool, grey, misty with occasional light west-coast rain, and on the dark side. A perfect time to shoot flowers in our garden. After my operation, I am not allowed to lift more than 5 pounds, so I used one lens and no tripod.

Sword Fern Trail, Pacific Spirit Park, Vancouver
Yesterday I took my last photo walk for possibly the coming month or more. Someone mentioned that Sword Fern Trail in the Pacific Spirit Regional Park was interesting. It is a long trail (see the map, Trail 24 which is the dotted line running N-S on the lower left part of the park in orange). The ferns are stretching their fronds, the delicate purple salmon berry blossoms are starting to appear, several young skunk cabbages looked quite vigorous, and the spiders are out and about. I have included a few people in photos, partly to give a sense of the size of these second-growth trees.
